Over the next two years I want you to pay off all of your debts and to quit using credit cards at all. Pay off all of your credit cards, medical bills, car loans, and mortgage, then cut up your credit cards and never use them again. Don't go to the bank or a payday loan shop and borrow any money again. Can you do this in two years?
I also want you to reduce your income while you do this. Let's just say by one day's worth of income. No over time, and a four day work week. Will that help you clear your debt and balance your home budget?
That is exactly what is expected of Washington. Cut taxes (reducing income) and fixing the national debt and deficit all at the same time. Does that make sense to you?
